After a final viewing yesterday, Perth Airport's new outdoor observation viewing area will officially open on Friday 16th December 2011. Special thanks to AEGWA member & group's patron Mr Geoffrey Thomas who has been a key player over the past two years working together for all enthusiasts & general public with airport owner & operators Westralia Airports Corporation ensuring that 'special needs' for such a viewing area were met, some of which included:elevated platform in which to photograph, unobsecured views, car parking, shelter from the sun / rain etc.. etc..
The AEGWA is not taking any credit for the new viewing area but is mearly acknowledging the efforts made by Geoffrey Thomas for the benefits of the Perth aviation community & wider general public.
